Very pleasant surprise to discover this place for lunch. Much better than it looks from the outside. To be honest we only popped in to use the toilet (!) and ended up staying for drinks and lunch. Service and food were both excellent, and it's a cool little place inside. Really glad the Costa toilets were locked for customer use only so we stumbled on this place instead!

Great little establishment with great drink selection "dont be scared to try something different here as there bartenders are very up to date on new things". Food is your usual pub food but still good. Local live music play great time

A good bar for watching some band perform. That said, you'd probably be standing up the whole time if you want to see the band, and the service is a little bit slow here. EDIT: After going many times, I noticed just now the back area where it is super cozy, and they serve AMAZING cocktails. I had a lovely barmaid who did a great job and was very friendly!

Great for a night out with friends. This bustling pub is situated in quay Street close to many pubs and restaurants and a short walk through the city centre. Great music friendly staff. A must see on a night out .

Cozy place with music and history. Craft cocktails were delicious, well, the one I had...Galway Shawl. Well made and just fabulous. We missed dinner time, but food looked and smelled wonderful.

Great Service - Philip was so nice when we came in to look around and made us feel so welcome we some back for dinner. They gave great specials, wings(8) and a pint for 10€. My husband got the loaded fries and the food was excellent and quick service. We appreciated the atmosphere, music playing, but not at ear splitting levels. Philip was very attentive during our visit and the historic aspect of this place is an added plus!!

We were looking for someplace to eat in the entertainment district of Galway. We asked a couple of people sitting out side the bar and they highly recommended it. We went in and were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. They had live music, which was very good. The staff were helpful, patient and fun. The food was great - our group had a variety, irish stew, penny bar sliders, the hooker beer battered sole and the chicken salad. A highly recommended spot.
